Measured Building Surveys

Together with Topographical Surveys, Measured Building Surveys form the other main area of our business. The inside of all buildings are instrumentally controlled using the very latest in reflectorless technology enabling accuracy of the highest order to be achieved. Points that were at one time near impossible to access are no longer a problem.

From the instrumentally captured footprint and internal control the framework is completed with the use of hand held laser measuring equipment. This ensures the building is accurately surveyed and no assumption is made as to whether it is square or vertical and floors level throughout.

Each floor plan is referenced to the one above/below, and can also be referenced to the topographical/site survey. There is no limit to the amount of service information which can be added. The standard basic floor plan would include items below:

• Walls and Partitions
• Doors & Door openings
• Windows with sill & head heights
• Stair detail
• Beam & ceiling heights
• Floor levels
• Fitted furniture
• Sanitary fittings
• Room description

This framework of information can then be used as a basis for a comprehensive management database.
